Exo 12:16  On the first and seventh days, you are to have an assembly set aside for God. On these days no work is to be done, except what each must do to prepare his food; you may do only that. Exo 12:17  You are to observe the festival of matzah, for on this very day I brought your divisions out of the land of Egypt. Therefore, you are to observe this day from generation to generation by a perpetual regulation.

 

Festival/Assembly H4744 מקרא  miqrâ' BDB Definition: 1) convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together 2) sacred assembly.

 

For who? All who are true followers of Yehovah and His Son Yeshua.

It says in verse 16 No work, why? NO WORK H4399  מלאכה  melâ'kâh BDB Definition: 1) occupation, work, business.

 

Why is there seven days in this festival? Why is there 8 days in total for the “Season of Redemption” Why does it say 6 days in D’varim 16:8?

In this message we will look deeply into the numbers 6,7, & 8 to fully comprehend the magnitude of the seventh day of Hag Matzah.
