SYNOPSIS: Is there a pattern in the 10 commandments? Is there groupings in the “10” that shows a pattern? Is it one book from the beginning to the end. Get ready for many wonderful blessings in this lesson.

VERSES: 1 Yochanan (Jn) 2:1-6 The way we can be sure we know him. Sh’mot (Ex) 20:1-14 is there a pattern found. Romans 6:17-18 slavery. Mattiyahu (Mat) 22:36 love with all your heart. 1 Yochanan (Jn) 5:1-4 everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. Mattiyahu (Mat) 4:10 serve HIM only. Ephesians 5:3-5 do not serve idols. Luke 13:34-35 the name of YEHOVAH. Hebrews 4:4-10 do not harden your hearts. Luke 18:20 honor father and mother. Ephesians 6:2-3 get the blessing. Mattiyahu (Mat) 5:21-22 will be subject to judgment. Ya’akov (James) 2:11-13 for the one who said. Mattiyahu (Mat) 5:27-28 the pattern is clear. Romans 2:20-24 it is here also. Mattiyahu (Mat) 19:17-19 do not steal. Mattiyahu (Mat) 19:17-19 do not steal. Revelation 21:8 outside. Romans 7:7 do not covet.
 

1 Yochanan (Jn) 2:1-6 The way we can be sure we know him.

1Jn 2:6  A person who claims to be continuing in union with him ought to conduct his life the way he did.

For YESHUA says in ref. Mat 5:18  Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud ( י ) or a stroke will pass from the Torah—not until everything that must happen has happened.

Sh’mot (Ex) 20:1-14 is there a pattern found.

Exo 20:1  Then God said all these words: 

Exo 20:2  א "I am YEHOVAH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery. 

Exo 20:3  ב "You are to have no other gods before me. 

Exo 20:4  You are not to make for yourselves a carved image or any kind of representation of anything in heaven above, on the earth beneath or in the water below the shoreline. 

Exo 20:5  You are not to bow down to them or serve them; for I, YEHOVAH your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 

Exo 20:6  but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my mitzvot. 

Exo 20:7  ג "You are not to use lightly the name of YEHOVAH your God, because YEHOVAH will not leave unpunished someone who uses his name lightly. 

Exo 20:8  ד "Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God. 

Exo 20:9  You have six days to labor and do all your work, 

Exo 20:10  but the seventh day is a Shabbat for YEHOVAH your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work—not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property. 

Exo 20:11  For in six days, YEHOVAH made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. This is why YEHOVAH blessed the day, Shabbat, and separated it for himself. 

Exo 20:12  ה "Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land which YEHOVAH your God is giving you. 

Exo 20:13  ו "Do not murder. ז "Do not commit adultery. ח "Do not steal. ט "Do not give false evidence against your neighbor. 

Exo 20:14  י "Do not covet your neighbor's house; do not covet your neighbor's wife, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor." 

 

It is ref. Joh 3:16  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.

Mattiyahu (Mat) 22:36 love with all your heart.

Mat 22:36  "Rabbi, which of the mitzvot in the Torah is the most important?" 

Mat 22:37  He told him, " 'You are to love YEHOVAH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.' 

No longer slaves

Mattiyahu (Mat) 4:10 serve HIM only.

Mat 4:10  "Away with you, Satan!" Yeshua told him, "For the Tanakh says, 'Worship YEHOVAH your God, and serve only him.' " 

 

Ephesians 5:3-5 do not serve idols.

Eph 5:3  Among you there should not even be mentioned sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or greed; these are utterly inappropriate for God's holy people. 

Eph 5:4  Also out of place are obscenity and stupid talk or coarse language; instead, you should be giving thanks. 

Eph 5:5  For of this you can be sure: every sexually immoral, impure or greedy person—that is, every idol-worshipper—has no share in the Kingdom of the Messiah and of God.

Luk 13:34  "Yerushalayim! Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused! 

Luk 13:35  Look! God is abandoning your house to you! I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of YEHOVAH!' "

Heb 4:4  For there is a place where it is said, concerning the seventh day, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works." 

Heb 4:5  And once more, our present text says, "They will not enter my rest." 

Heb 4:6  Therefore, since it still remains for some to enter it, and those who received the Good News earlier did not enter, 

Heb 4:7  he again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David, so long afterwards, in the text already given, "Today, if you hear God's voice, don't harden your hearts."

Heb 4:8  For if Y'hoshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later of another "day." 

Heb 4:9  So there remains a Shabbat-keeping for God's people. 

Heb 4:10  For the one who has entered God's rest has also rested from his own works, as God did from his. 

 

Heb 4:4  For there is a place where it is said, concerning the seventh day, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works."

Luk 18:20  You know the mitzvot—'Don't commit adultery, don't murder, don't steal, don't give false testimony, honor your father and mother, . . .' " 

 

Ephesians 6:2-3 get the blessing.

Eph 6:2  "Honor your father and mother"—this is the first commandment that embodies a promise— 

Eph 6:3  "so that it may go well with you, and you may live long in the Land."

Ya’akov (James) 2:11-13 for the one who said.

Jas 2:11  For the One who said, "Don't commit adultery," also said, "Don't murder." Now, if you don't commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the Torah. 

Jas 2:12  Keep speaking and acting like people who will be judged by a Torah which gives freedom. 

Jas 2:13  For judgment will be without mercy toward one who doesn't show mercy; but mercy wins out over judgment.

Mattiyahu (Mat) 5:27-28 the pattern is clear.

Mat 5:27  "You have heard that our fathers were told, 'Do not commit adultery.' 

Mat 5:28  But I tell you that a man who even looks at a woman with the purpose of lusting after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 

 

Romans 2:20-24 it is here also.

Rom 2:20  an instructor for the spiritually unaware and a teacher of children, since in the Torah you have the embodiment of knowledge and truth; 

Rom 2:21  then, you who teach others, don't you teach yourself? Preaching, "Thou shalt not steal," do you steal? 

Rom 2:22  Saying, "Thou shalt not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? Detesting idols, do you commit idolatrous acts? 

Rom 2:23  You who take such pride in Torah, do you, by disobeying the Torah, dishonor God?— 

Rom 2:24  as it says in the Tanakh, "For it is because of you that God's name is blasphemed by the Goyim."

Mat 19:19  honor father and mother and love your neighbor as yourself."

Exo 20:14 

 

Romans 7:7 do not covet.

Rom 7:7  Therefore, what are we to say? That the Torah is sinful? Heaven forbid! Rather, the function of the Torah was that without it, I would not have known what sin is. For example, I would not have become conscious of what greed is if the Torah had not said, "Thou shalt not covet." 

 

AMEIN & AMEIN!!!

Remember Yeshua the Messiah is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
