SYNOPSIS: WHAT IS TRUE REPENTANCE? First, there must be a change of opinion in regard to sin. You can have the circumcision of the flesh, you can even have the first stages of circumcision of the heart, so what is true repentance? True repentance is a life that changes its opinion, character & tendencies towards sin and walks through the narrow gate.

SECTION 1: A CHANGE OF OPINION.  A change of opinion in regard to the nature of sin. To one who truly repents, sin looks like a very different thing from what it does to him who has not repented. Instead of looking like a thing that is desirable or fascinating, it looks the very opposite, most odious and detestable. The new creation is astonished at their self, that they ever could have desired such things. A true change of opinion is this; Now that you’re in she’ol looking up at heaven you want Messiah to send someone to warn the people you love. It took a lifetime to see the truth now you want to tell those you love the truth that you did not want to hear. CHANGE OF OPPINION

SECTION 2: A CHANGE OF CHARACTER.  A change of opinion of the character of sin as respects to its relationship to Yehovah. Sinners do not see why God threatens sin with such terrible punishment. They love their sin so well, that they cannot see why Yehovah should look at it in such a negative light, as to think it worthy of everlasting damnation. A true change of character is this; The woman cried blessed is the mother who gave birth to you Yeshua, HIS reply was, far more blessed are those that hear Yehovah’s word and obey it. CHANGE OF CHARACTER

SECTION 3: A CHANGE IN TENDENCIES. A change of opinion in regard to the tendencies of sin. Having one's mind controlled by the old nature is death, but having one's mind controlled by the Spirit is life and shalom. For those who identify with their old nature set their minds on the things of the old nature, but those who identify with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. CHANGE IN TENDENCIES
