Scripture: Mattiyahu (Mat) 24:21-22

 

SYNOPSIS: In today’s teaching we will look at the last chapter of Yirmeyahu (Jer). We will see who got taken away into captivity and why. We will look at who was left behind and how that is a good thing…to be left behind! We will then look at Lamentations and the sadness that happens to those who did not follow in spirit and truth. After allowing the word to draw us a picture we will look at “The Will” of the FATHER. Finally we will look at the Acharit-Hayamim and the signs and wonders of “Loving Pleasure” rather than God.

Mat 24:21  For there will be trouble then worse than there has ever been from the beginning of the world until now, and there will be nothing like it again!

Mat 24:22  Indeed, if the length of this time had not been limited, no one would survive; but for the sake of those who have been chosen, its length will be limited.

Mat 23:37  "Yerushalayim! Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused!

Yirmeyahu (Jer) 52:1-30 why did this happen, will it happen again

Jer 52:1  Tzidkiyahu was twenty-one years old when he began to rule, and he ruled for eleven years in Yerushalayim. His mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Yirmeyahu, from Livnah. Jer 52:2  He did what was evil from YEHOVAH's perspective, following the example of everything Y'hoyakim had done.

Jer 52:16  But N'vuzar'adan the commander of the guard left behind some of the poor people of the land to be vineyard-workers and farmers.

 

The book of Lamentations is book of sorrowful songs or poems. Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) writes this after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. It was written soon after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.; he was an eyewitness.

 

Chapter 1, Jeremiah mourns for Jerusalem and Judea as it lays in ruin by the raid and destruction of Babylon

Chapter 2, He described the anger of the Lord who brought judgment to the wicked land

Chapter 3, we see Jeremiah expressing his troubled spirit and suffering in gloom. He too is afflicted, as his homeland has been pillaged.

Chapter 4, we read that God has brought justice and ruled mightily

 

Lamentations 1:1-10 she gave no thought to how it would end

Lam 1:9  Her filthiness was in her skirts; she gave no thought to how it would end. Hence her astounding downfall, with no one to console her. "Look, YEHOVAH, how I suffer; for the foe has triumphed!"

 

SKIRTS - H7757 שׁוּל shûl BDB Definition: 1) skirt (of robe) 2) of high priest’s robe 3) of God’s train, city as woman, ignominy (Public disgrace; shame; reproach; dishonor; infamy), defilement

 

skirts of her garment. טֻמְאָה is the defilement caused by touching a person or thing Levitically unclean, Lev_5:3; Lev_7:21; here, therefore, it means defilement by sins and crimes

Mat 12:50  Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants, that person is my brother and sister and mother."

 

WANTS – WILL - G2307 θέλημα thel'-ay-mah Thayer Definition: 1) what one wishes or has determined shall be done 2) of what God wishes to be done by us 3) commands, precepts 4) will, choice, inclination, desire, pleasure

 

Mat 7:21  "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.

 

Mattiyahu (mat) 13:41-43 will you be left behind…for it is good to not be raptured

Mat 13:43  Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let him hear!

 

Mat 18:14  Thus your Father in heaven does not want even one of these little ones to be lost.

 

Mat 26:39  Going on a little farther, he fell on his face, praying, "My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet — not what I want, but what you want!"

 

Mat 26:41  Stay awake, and pray that you will not be put to the test — the spirit indeed is eager, but human nature is weak." Mat 26:42  A second time he went off and prayed. "My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink it, let what you want be done."

 

Luke 22:40-42 the test came because you fell asleep on the word

Luk 22:42  "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, let not my will but yours be done."

 

Yochanan (Jn) 4:23-24 to worship in spirit and truth requires His will

Joh 4:23  But the time is coming — indeed, it's here now — when the true worshippers will worship the Father spiritually and truly, for these are the kind of people the Father wants worshipping him. Joh 4:24  God is spirit; and worshippers must worship him spiritually and truly."

D’varim (Deut) 27:2-3 YEHOVAH is so legalistic that He wants the whole world to know it

Deu 27:2  When you cross the Yarden to the land YEHOVAH your God is giving you, you are to set up large stones, put plaster on them,

Deu 27:3  and, after crossing over, write this Torah on them, every word - so that you can enter the land YEHOVAH your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as YEHOVAH, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

 

Yeshua asked who are my brothers and sisters

 

Only those who do what the FATHER wants
