MESSIANIC LESSON
794 Inside of the cup, building true biblical character
SYNOPSIS: What type of creation are you? What type of creation have you become? Did you start out giving and now are not? Were you a secular pagan and now sometimes, most of the time walk on the narrow path? How are you being shaped, and by what, the world or the WORD? What are your values? What do your actions say about your character? What is your character…your biblical character like? Are you like Moshe, Y’hoshua, Shimshon, Young David, King David, old David, Ruth, Rachel, Ester, Miriam, Kefa, Toma, Yochanan, Judas, Yeshua or satan? This HaShabbat lesson will focus on what the bible tells us about biblical character.
HASHABBAT LESSON 1: BEING SHAPED. Romans 12:1-2 What are you being conformed to. Mattiyahu (Mat) 23:26 we have souls and choices. Romans 12:1-2.
HASHABBAT LESSON 2: INTEGRITY. Revelation 3:9 test their integrity. Y’hoshua (Josh) 9:1-16 They fooled them because they didn’t inquire. Kohelet 5:3-4 keeping your word…integrity. Mishal (Prov) 11:3 integrity is simple. D’varim (Deut) 23:22-24 If you choose not to make a vow at all, that will not be a sin for you. Mattiyahu (Mat) 20:8-15 they began grumbling to the farmer.
HASHABBAT LESSON 3: DELIGHTING TO DO THE FATHER’S WILL. Proverbs 8:27-31 For me, every day was pure delight. Yochanan (Jn) 6:38 the will of the One who sent me. Yochanan 5:30 Delighting in the will of YEHOVAH. Mattiyahu (Mat) 26:39 No questions asked, just did it. Mattiyahu (Mat) 6:14-16 but if you do not forgive others their offenses.
HASHABBAT LESSON 1: BEING SHAPED. Romans 12:1-2 What are you being conformed to.
Rom 12:1 I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God's mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please him; it is the logical "Temple worship" for you. Rom 12:2 In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the `olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.
CONFORMED: G4964 συσχηματίζω suschēmatizō Thayer Definition: to conform one’s self (i.e. one’s mind and character) to another’s pattern, (fashion one’s self according to)
STANDARDS – RENEWING: G342 ἀνακαίνωσις anakainōsis Thayer Definition: a renewal, renovation, complete change for the better
