978 HE KNOWS YOU,

DO YOU REALLY KNOW HIM

 

Scripture: B’resheet (Gen) 1:26-28 You were made in HIS image.

 

SYNOPSIS: This is a very wonderful lesson for today. We are going to study the personality of YEHOVAH. For it says in the very first chapter of our bible, we were made in THEIR image. That is in B’resheet chapter 1 verse 26. It is very interesting that the number 26, is the Gematria of for the name YEHOVAH. What is the purpose of us being made in HIS image and not acting like HIM? Why does HE allow us to live? Why does HE not bring swift judgment on us? What does this say about HIS personality? Is HE a hypocrite for HE destroyed the world with a flood for the way they were acting? Let us prepare our hearts for a wonderful lesson and to fully comprehend this awesome verse Exo 25:8  "They are to make me a sanctuary, so that I may live among them.

B’resheet (Gen) 6:5-7 we are shown thing about YEHOVAH’S personality.

Gen 6:5  YEHOVAH saw that the people on earth were very wicked, that all the imaginings of their hearts were always of evil only.

Gen 6:6  YEHOVAH regretted that he had made humankind on the earth; it grieved his heart.

Gen 6:7  YEHOVAH said, "I will wipe out humankind, whom I have created, from the whole earth; and not only human beings, but animals, creeping things and birds in the air; for I regret that I ever made them."

Rev 21:3  I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "See! God's Sh'khinah is with mankind, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and he himself, God-with-them, will be their God. 

 

Mattiyahu 5:38-48 this is radical love, ELOHIM personality.

Mat 5:45  Then you will become children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun shine on good and bad people alike, and he sends rain to the righteous and the unrighteous alike.

Sh’mot (Ex) 20:5-6 I am jealous.

Exo 20:5  You are not to bow down to them or serve them; for I, YEHOVAH your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, Exo 20:6  but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my mitzvot. 

 

Ref. Deu 29:18  If there is such a person, when he hears the words of this curse, he will bless himself secretly, saying to himself, 'I will be all right, even though I will stubbornly keep doing whatever I feel like doing; so that I, although "dry," [sinful,] will be added to the "watered" [righteous].' 

 

Ref. Isa 55:8  "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways," says YEHOVAH.
