280 The Ninth and the True New Birth
Exo. 19:5 Now if you will pay careful attention to what I say and keep my covenant, then you will be my own treasure from among all the peoples, for all the earth is mine;
Exo. 19:6 and you will be a kingdom of cohanim(priest) for me, a nationa set apart,’ these are the words you are to speak to the people of Isra’el.”
Exo. 19:7 Moshe came, summoned the leaders of the people and presented them with all these words which Adonai had ordered him to say.
Exo. 19:8 All the people answered as one, “Everything Adonai has said, we will do.” Moshe reported the words of the people to Adonai.
Exo. 19:9 Adonai said to Moshe, “See, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, so that the people will be able to hear when I speak with you and also to trust in you forever.” Moshe had old Adonai what the people had said;
Exo. 19:10 So Adonai said to Moshe, “Go to the people; today and tomorrow separate them for me by having them wash their clothing;
We are all born into sin. Then there comes a day in our lives when we meet YHVH’s Salvation, Yeshua HaMashiach (the Messiah), and our walk with Him begins. However, if we are going to walk in His paths then it can’t just be in our clothing. Sometimes people look great on the outside but on the inside they are hurting. The may be coming to do their shift at the church or synagogue but their minds are numb and not really learning. Adonai wanted us to wash our clothing and prepare ourselves to be His. He was creating a group of people who were special both inside and outside. The life of bondage and of sin this world was being washed away for the freedom to choose Adonai’s ways and His TORAH. Yes the freedom to choose a better way of life TORAH. Becoming a new creation has to be exactly that a renewing of ourselves for Adonai’s purposes. Accepting God and His ways, and not violating the 9th commandment by being false witnesses. So the question we need to ask is, what does it mean to wash your clothing in the living water?
