Job 36:9 he shows them the results of their doings, the crimes caused by their pride.
Job 36:10 He sounds a warning in their ears and orders them to repent of their evil.
Job 36:11 "If they pay attention and obey him, they spend their days in prosperity; their years pass pleasantly.
Job 36:12 But if they don't pay attention, they perish by the sword and die without learning their lesson.
Adonai sounds a warning to those who have ears to hear. To repent we must first know what we need to repent of. Many people think in their own minds and hearts that they are basically good person, but how does that line up with how Adonai thinks of you? Do you measure up to His standards? This month of Elul the 6th month is about hearing the voice of Adonai. About listening for the sound of the Shofar. Preparing your heart for a meeting with Yehovah during His fall Holy days. With the sounding of this shofar He is ordering each and every person no matter what religion you may have been born into to repent. Repent to His standards and His ways. Because there is only one way to heaven if you believe the words of this the one and ONLY Holy book. One of the most incredible things is Adonai is so gracious that He allows each of us to make their own choice, to repent or not?
