Eph 6:14 Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate,
Eph 6:15 and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom.
Eph 6:16 Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God;
The armor of God is spoken of by rav. Sha’ul here in the letter to the Ephesians. Many people think it is all about worldly military equipment, as seen in the picture above. Would a trained rabbi be speaking to a baby, zealous Messianic congregation about military affairs? To tell them to take on the Roman army? To fight with weapons of this world? Or would rav. Sha’ul be speaking about garments that would have been worn by the priesthood. In this message, we will focus on the Helmet of Salvation and what it truly means to those who follow Messiah Yeshua.
